MountainHigh designs completes Phase 1 with Glacier National Park

LED Lighting provides the perfect solution for an off-grid building.

Rossland, BC  (April 8, 200 MountainHigh designs inc announces the completion of the LED lighting installation of the Loop Brook Campground Facility in Glacier National Park.  Parks Canada has embraced the new technology of LED based Lighting.  Using off grid solutions of Solar and Micro Hydro Dam Technology for power and LED lighting, they are helping bring comfort and safety to the millions of Canadians visiting our National Parks.

The LED Product used for this project is made by an Ottawa based manufacturing company, DelphiTech.  MountainHigh designs is DelphiTech’s exclusive representative in BC.   Michael Flood, of MountainHigh designs, is thrilled that, “With this product, we are providing light for a 50 square meter building for just 45 watts of power.  That’s interior and exterior, task and architectural detail light, with less power than a single average household bulb.”

MountainHigh designs inc was formed by a couple of Canadian Film Technicians, Michael Flood and Carol Pears.  Their combined 35 years of experience in the Lighting and Business sector of the Film Industry has provided the perfect background to bring the newest technology and tasteful “dark sky friendly” light designs to the community.  Based out of Rossland, BC they have been servicing the Southern Interior with lighting ideas and solutions for the past two years.  They provide designs, fixtures, LED solutions and install support. “Our fixture selection includes many of the leading manufacturers: Dreamscape, Murray Feist, Quorum, Sage, Kichler, Juno, Hubbardton Forge, Focus, Fanimation, ANP and BL Lighting to name a few,” states Carol Pears, President.

Their past clients include The Rossland Museum, RDKB, City of Rossland, Private Homes and Local businesses, such as RossVegas, Ripping Giraffe, Valhalla Pure Outfitters, and current clients being the National Parks, The Kaslo Hotel Project, The TMP Housing project at the Base of Red Mountain Resort, The Country Roads General Store and a variety of private homeowners throughout the Interior.

They are a growing lighting company that is utilizing Canadian made products or importing LED products only of the highest quality.  “All of our Screw-in LED light bulbs are either cUL or cETL approved.  They are rated between 50,000 and 100,000 hours and contain no mercury.  Our lights do not attract bugs outside, nor deteriorate artwork inside.  They are safe for Art Galleries, Museums and are suitable for any application inside or out.  Even in our Canadian winters.”  explains Pears.
